My spouse was only in the facility between 5 or 8 days. I'd have to go back and count, but we did not use the facility. He could not participate in activities and he was in hospice care. The staff were good. As for food, they offered him mashed potatoes, and he could only take 1 or 2 bites. If any? They did send me up a meal but it was cold, but I don't fault them for that. I was able to get him a haircut and was very surprised at the price, [removed price]. Especially after paying [removed price] for amenities that he didn't use except for the haircut.. again , the activities sounded very nice , but I can't comment on them. Provision living was clean and beautiful. I do question the hospice staff. They asked me if I wanted a bed to spend the night and I declined. I live close to the facility and they didn't say anything about how close his passing may be and I should stick close to him. They brought up a very nice cart of coffee and hot water and Things to eat but didn't say why. Or that his death was near, which would have been very nice. The hospice could have kept me abreast of things a little better. A staff member wrote in the notebook that he wasn't breathing at 10:38 and the first call to me was at 2:05 a m. That didn't make sense to me. I do know they had to wait for an R.N. to pronounce him. However , I didn't get any phone call until 2:05. Would I recommend Provision Living, yes I would.

When my family and I visited we were welcomed immediately and offered beverages while we waited, such a warm atmosphere. [name removed] was on another tour so [name removed] was on another tour so [name removed]. The director gave us your, answered all of our question all the staff was friendly, [name removed] the nurse helped us set up an evaluation. [name removed] showed compassion and really wanted to help us.

My mother has been in memory care 7 months. Thus for, the facility and staff have been clean and friendly respectively. The staff has taken good care of my mother and have been accommodating to her needs.

I am writing about Story Point of Abbot Park. This facility provides the most outstanding care to their residents. My family and friends were taken care of by [name removed], [name removed], [name removed],[name removed] and all the other kind, patient, and genuinely compassionate staff who support and welcome everyone to their community. Led by the amazing executive director [name removed], [name removed] the place is well-run, comfortable positive and top notch.

I am very pleased that I chose this facility for my husband. The staff is very knowledgeable and caring . The facilities are bright and clean and very well maintained. The food is very good. I highly recommend this Story Point.

This was actually my second time meeting with Patrick at Story Point, the first time was in regard to my husband, near the end of his life 2 1/2 years ago. Patrick was just as helpful and kind this time for my parents. During our conversation about my parents I told him how difficult it’s been for my dad to get around, and that I needed to find a motorized scooter for him so he could get around easier, with my mom walking beside him, and how it would allow him to eat in the dining room, instead of staying in their apartment, and be more social. Patrick had just learned of someone who had a scooter they couldn’t use and wanted to pass it along to someone who could. Patrick made a phone call, I talked to the gentleman (a.k.a. Santa), and my dad is now the happiest man on a scooter I’ve ever seen! Unfortunately, my parents weren’t able to become Story Point residents, but Patrick gave me the guidance I needed to help me find the right place for them.

She was there before we liked it, except for happy hour, they don't have music. Definitely would recommend.

Great care! Since the changes from Provision to Story Point, the care and staff have remained consistent. I am very happy with her care!

We moved our mother almost three years ago from another assisted living facility that was rapidly declining. We were so relieved to find the caring, compassionate staff at Provision Living in East Lansing. She passed on April 11th surrounded by her family. The staff at Provision Living went above and beyond to keep us and our mother comfortable. She had a very positive experience at Provision and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to family and friends. Facility is clean, and bright, with a very friendly staff as well as a good variety of activities for the residents

The staff are caring, the food is good, and the facility is lovely. The only concern was the lack of timeliness in submitting monthly documents for long-term care reimbursement, which was the responsibility of the director. While the director’s desk may have been organized to her liking, it appeared chaotic to others.

My tour of the facility was very impressive. I chose Provision Living because of the bright clean facility and the staff was up beat always willing to help. My choice was correct, they were so caring. My husband was only there 6 days when he passed. My only concern was that a caregiver logged that my husband was not breathing at 11:30 pm and I was called approx 2:00 am. They did call 3 times & lvmtc. I was exhausted & slept through. I called and they helped me through what I needed to do. I was disappointed in the refund process for the balance of days in the month, which took 2 months.
