at Independence Village of Ankeny

My aunt has lived at Independence Village in Ankeny for almost two years. After a short adjustment period, she has settled in. She has gotten to know the staff & they have gotten to know her.I'm most impressed with the sincere care given to each individual by the entire staff. The caregivers see each resident several times throughout the day. Early this year, when a health issue arose, the nurse was notified. She notified me right away. Her guidance was thoughtful, knowledgeable & helpful beyond measure.The cleaning & maintenance staff work together. The apartments & building are clean. The chef is attentive to the residents. Meals are delicious & served with polite care. The residents are treated to a "food tasting" as seasonal menus change. The activities are plentiful & tailored to the residents interests. The receptionist & administrative staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful & caring.My aunt is living comfortably & safely.Our experience has been good.

From the first time we toured Independence Village over 3 years ago, we knew it was the place for mom. The facility is beautiful, the rooms are generously sized, but the staff beyond compare! Every person we've worked with spoken to or who has helped has been fantastic! Mom is happy. Comfortable and safe what more could we want!

The facility is amazing. It is very clean & the staff is very nice. They treat my mom so good. There has been a lot of staff turnover since my mom moved in one year ago which gets confusing & frustrating l. However when we have questions we get a response asap and the executive is working hard to get the communication running smoother. The aids that help my mom are wonderful. They treat her with kindness & care. My mom isn't a huge fan of the food but there has also been about 4 chefs since she moved in so her opinion changes. All in all Independence Village has a wonderful place for my mom with plenty of activities & people around to help her & she's very happy there.

What a breath of fresh air this facility has become! The staff have been so friendly and helpful to work with, every time I am there. The building is clean, polished, and exquisitely decorated. Go check out all the wonderful things they can provide for you or a loved one.

I've visited the site to look for a location to put my grandma. Everyone was super nice, and everything was really clean and well maintained.

The employees here are extremely passionate about each and every one's experience when coming here and make it feels so comfortable and welcomed to the tenants, staff, and future tenants.

I toured Independence Village as a potential place for my mom to move to. The staff was very friendly and professional and the facility was clean and well maintained.

When I walked in I was instantly greeted. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall was a great experience, very cleanly and a great place.
