The staff were always available to help my mom. We used the site for respite care while we found a more permanent location

The community looks so wonderful with new carpet and paint and new furniture. Residents seem to enjoy the new look. Staff was very friendly when I came to visit. My cousin had wonderful care in the assisted living side.

The staff and many residents are very kind, though caregivers could use additional support, as is common in many places. The dining staff provide good meals, and the entertainment offerings are wonderful for social connection. Maintenance staff are busy but always willing to help with tasks. The nursing team does a great job keeping medications on a routine schedule. Administration is helpful and responsive to questions about expenses. Cleaning staff are friendly and thorough, and residents are encouraged to do their part in keeping things tidy.The only downsides are that service trucks outside the windows can be noisy, and controlling the temperature in some apartments can be difficult. Overall, the community is welcoming and supportive.

This is a beautiful, well-decorated community with many comfortable seating areas for visiting. There are plenty of activities available, and the staff is friendly and accommodating.Unfortunately, the move was not the right fit for our father's needs. After moving into assisted living with his wife, he had difficulty adjusting and required a higher level of supervision than expected. Additional supports were put in place, but he ultimately needed skilled nursing care.This was a difficult outcome for our family, as we had hoped the move would work well for both of our parents. The community itself is lovely, and the staff was kind throughout the process.

Independence Village of Aurora is amazing! [name removed] at Independence has been very helpful and understanding of our needs. We know Independence Village of Aurora has everything my mother-in-law needs to help her be well cared for and to thrive.

It's the people! Everyone here that takes care of me truly care about me. I feel very safe and comfortable here. Just a feeling I can't explain.

Everyone here does their very best and I give a 5 star review. Independence Village is my home I love coming home too!

It's lovely here. I can't think of anything that is not. Everyone is very nice.

Activities are fun. Servers are kin and always smiling.

I toured IV Aurora and was very impressed with how happy and friendly the folks were both residents and staff. The food smelled amazing! The building was very clean and the updates they're doing are beautiful.

Over all they took good care of mom and bent over backwards in the end, had some staff come and go that weren't great but overall was very good. Apartment was great, food was good , did not do much activities but know they had a lot so that was nice.

I would say that it has a warm homey feeling that makes you feel welcome. As in any place there are a few residents that can't seem to muster a smile

My 93 year old dad moved in a month ago. It was too dangerous for him to live at home (memory issues). The move happened quickly, out of necessity. The Wellness Center did an assessment and he was still eligible for assisted living. Everyone has been so welcoming. They have residents that have shown him the ropes. The nursing staff (24/7) and caregivers (24/7) have been very kind, thorough and responsive. He actually wears a safety button (not for me). He pushes it when he needs anything. He gets three excellent meals a day. laundry done, assistance with showering and medicine. He just started physical and occupation therapy. It's such a lovely apartment and environment. There are so many daily activities, even off of the grounds. Dad's adjustment has gone much better than I thought. I knows he's in excellent hands and I don't have to WORRY.

Independent Village Aurora Ohio is a great choice for our mother. She is cared for in a well-maintained facility. She has been there three years and enjoys her apartment. She has made friends and been involved in the activities. It is the right place, at the right time for her and definitely recommend.
