The maintenance staff has been friendly, reliable and knowledgeable, whenever me and my husband has needed work done in out apartment. We've appreciated it for 2 yrs!

Overall experience has been superb! Issues regarding showering and change of clothes have been addressed in a satifactory manner and I'm appreciative.

Our dad has been in the memory care unit at IV for nearly a year. The staff is incredible! You are greeted with a friendly face as soon as you enter the door. The caregivers know each resident by name and can tell you about who they are. The activities coordinators create opportunities for residents in a variety of activities that incorporate movement, music and art. The nursing staff is top notch and will take the time to talk about your loved one's care. The dietary department provides a menu of foods that changes regularly. Making the decision to put a loved one in a facility can be very heartbreaking, but the staff at IV has brought peace of mind to our family.

We were so very worried about giving my grandma the care she needed, and we were so blessed to find such a wonderful place with such great people. Grandma stays so busy, and loves all the new friends she has met. The apartment is perfect size for her, and the housekeeping and maintenance staff are so wonderful. We are always greeted by staff, and the dining experience is absolutely incredible. The administrator has been an absolute angle to our family. Thank you for all you do.

Community was very clean, and welcoming. Staff was very friendly and present during my visit as well. There were many activities happening around the entire community with great resident participation. Lunch was about to take place and it looked and smelled AMAZING. So very happy my grandpa is happy and well cared for.

Annoy say enough nice things about this community. The staff is so caring, the food is outstanding, and it’s obvious that everyone takes pride in their work. Would give 10 stars!

I lived at Independence Village in Avon Lake, before moving in with my daughter. The care I received during my stay was great, and the housekeeping staff took great care of my apartment. The food was wonderful, and I participated and enjoyed the activities that were offered to residents. I would highly recommend Independence Village for any level of housing need.

I’ve had a really positive experience with Independence Village and would absolutely recommend it to others. The level of care here truly stands out — the staff is not only professional and attentive, but also genuinely kind and compassionate. You can tell they take the time to get to know the residents and treat them with respect and dignity.The activities program is another huge highlight. There is always something going on, and the variety is impressive. From social gatherings to games and special events, they do a great job keeping residents engaged and giving them things to look forward to. It really adds to the overall sense of community.They’re also currently in the middle of a major interior renovation, and it’s looking beautiful. The updates are modern and bright, and it’s clear a lot of thought has gone into making the space feel comfortable and welcoming.Overall, it’s a warm, well-run community with excellent care, great energy, and a space that’s only getting better. Definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a place where your loved one will be well cared for and happy.

This place was a perfect match for my dad. Very caring, excellent care, professional but personal dad really like it here, especially the people and the food. We consider it as a great blessing. 10 out of 5 stars for us.

I have been here for nearly 3 years and have been happy with my home. My apartment is bright and spacious. The food is good and if I need help, the staff is there for me.

Was nervous moving in. I did not know a soul. Now I have friends I play cards with.
