at Independence Village of Brighton Valley

Living here at Independence Village makes me feel secure, with the assurance that I have people to assist me if I need it. The quality of food, the selections, small portions. Some are overcooked or undercooked, burnt. At times they run out of food.

Very helpful staff that quickly resolves problems. Chef should focus more on prompt service delivery of dinner plates instead of pouring coffee. An aide should pour coffee.

Prior experiences will rate as great. Excellent staff involvement.

Independence Village has been home for 6 years. My husband and I came together (he is now deceased). Apartment is small, but adequate. Staff is remarkable—treat residents with kindness and efficiency. The facility is now 25 years old—very mature and experienced.

Rarely disappointed in our 18 years at Ivbv. Staff is both caring and knowledgeable. Sodium content of meals is too high for age appropriate cardiac care; salad basics (lettuces) are poor. Shuttle bus has been unreliable, very uncomfortable ride.

I was fortunate to stay at IV for a lengthy stage. The community of residents and the staff were great. The activities for the residents keep them busy. Thank you for this very good experience.

Walking into this beautiful community, I was greeted with smiling faces and welcoming staff.

The apartment is spacious, very clean, picked up trash daily, always people around to ask questions. Everyone willing to help and friendly at the dining room, [name removed] . Because of dialysis a meal was always ready when I returned at 2. Very nice!
