From the very first interaction, StoryPoint in Chesterton has exceeded every expectation our family had. When I initially reached out, Amber made the entire process seamless. She was incredibly attentive, answering all of my questions thoroughly—whether it was during business hours or even later in the evening. That level of responsiveness immediately stood out. What truly sets StoryPoint apart is the personal experience they provide. Residents and their families have direct access to staff via email and even cell phone, which offers a level of comfort and reassurance. The customer service is simply outstanding. When it came time for my parents to move in, we experienced an unexpected delay due to my mother needing to complete radiation treatments. StoryPoint handled this with compassion and flexibility, allowing her to finish care without pressure. They also accommodated our request to move our parents in gradually to minimize disruption—something that meant a lot to our family. Even specific requests, like replacing carpeting, were handled quickly and without hesitation. Since the move-in, the experience has continued to impress us. The staff is genuinely caring and proactive, consistently reaching out if they have any concerns or feel the family should be aware. One detail I especially appreciate is that they monitor daily activity—if there’s no key fob movement in the morning, they check in. It is the perfect balance and gives the family peace of mind of having someone there should they need it while also giving residents their independence. The Executive Director, MeLisa Moore, is clearly in tune with everything happening in the community and maintains a strong, positive presence. We moved to StoryPoint after a frustrating experience elsewhere with poor communication, and the difference has been night and day. On top of all that, the variety of events and activities are incredible. There’s truly something for everyone—so much so that it would be impossible for any one resident to attend everything offered. StoryPoint has created a community that feels supportive, engaged, and genuinely caring. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place where their loved ones will be truly looked after while still maintaining an independent lifestyle (with a little help).

I have never been to a community that has as much fun as Story Point, Chesterton! [name removed] at the front desk is the nicest receptionist I have met! She is always ready to help and can solve any problem.

My family member just moved to Story Point. I can’t even explain the welcoming and warm feeling the staff has given us at every level. The culture starts with MeLisa, the Executive Director. She is fully engaged and the energy there is clearly a reflection of her compassionate concern for her residents. Next, I need to mention Amber, our intake representative. Her enthusiasm and sweet personality is contagious. She was so helpful when we were moving in, clearly going out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Last, meet superhero, Vince. He works for Corso Care (the assistance side). I observed him with both staff and residents. He is so kind and wonderful. I am so impressed with this organization, I had to write a review! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. <3

Fine place to live. No complaints. Not perfect but very nice. Lots of room to walk and exercise.

Please note that this review is based solely on us visiting the facilities while shopping for extended care for a relative. Amber the point of contact for sales was very knowledgeable of the entire process a potential resident will need. She suggested things to think about when comparing other facilities as well as potential ways to keep costs down for veterans. StoryPoint is very clean, nicely landscaped, nicely decorated and maintained. It smelled clean. The residents which we spoke with seemed very happy there. The apartments we looked at were clean and kept up. Again, we have not made a decision to move our relative here. But, I would definitely consider looking at this facility should you need to seek long term assisted living for someone you love.

My husband and I were at a restaurant on Tuesday 4/28/26 and I assume it was the activities person who was there with 3 of the residents. I just so enjoyed watching their interactions. She was very engaging with all 3 of the gentlemen. It was wonderful to see. I retired from working in activities and it is wonderful to see someone who genuinely enjoys being with the residents. Whoever you are I just wanted to say good job!! Story point is lucky to have you!

We were hired to bring our animals to visit the residents of Storypoint. I was so impressed by the enthusiasm and kindness of the staff we met today. The decorations and costumes of their jungle themed event was such hit with the residents. It was an atmosphere filled with joy! We had an earlier school assembly today, and these seniors had the same curiosity and wonder as the children at our morning assembly. It’s great to see seniors being treated with such dignity and respect. Kudos to their staff!

The StoryPoint Chesterton senior independent living residence is a clean, attractive, affordable and welcoming place. The staff is professional and gracious. The residents are pleasant. It was easily a perfect fit. The tour was conducted by a staff member who was professional and gracious during and afterwards to facilitate the needs of the prospective residents.

I toured this beautiful senior living community with my step‑mother, and we were both blown away. The moment we walked in, everything felt warm, clean, and truly cared for. The staff was incredible so kind, patient, and genuine. They made her feel seen and respected, and that meant everything to me. This place left such a comforting impression on us. It’s the kind of environment where you can feel the love and dedication the moment you step inside.

StoryPoint Chesterton is a spacious, clean and welcoming facility. The interior is likewise, with professional and gracious staff. The residents are pleasant. The tour was provided by Amber Williams, who was professional and gracious. She was personally involved with the clients before, during and after the tour. The facility was a perfect fit, thank you. I’ve been performing at Story Point for about a year. I would like to begin by saying that the staff and the directors are wonderful kind and caring. The staff goes out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. The decor is so beautiful. This is truly one of my favorite places to perform.
