Just some hiccups with scheduling tours and assessments. They are very responsive to providing information and answering questions.

The staff at Danbury is very kind and caring. The facility is very clean but I wish they cleaned my mother's apartment daily. I realize that may not be feasible. Overall we like Danbury very much. It's a very nice clean facility and knowing that they check on my mom at least every 2 hours and make sure she's showered and fed regularly was appreciated. They also offered us a fixed rate regardless of my mom's care needs.

The people (girl and women) are very helpful when you need it. (food a visit help find my things that are fun to do and when to do help with you or with other people. There is always something to do trips. Party by the girls or a quiet place to read.

Quality of Care: (Misplaced Mom's Medication a few times, borrowed meds from other resident's prescriptions), Administrative Staff: (Constant Billing Issues and disorganization in Accounting Office, failure to return calls, etc), Food: (Not a lot of alternative options for Diabetics. Lots of the Same thing). We would absolutely recommend Danbury Columbus to other families based on the experience.

Awesome kindness of everyone we saw. Kim was especially kind and helpful. The residents interacted and all seemed happy.

I only have experience with the memory care unit, The Orchard. The physical facility is good, comfortable and in good repair. The staff genuinely care about the residents.

This is a women-run operation. Everyone is very caring, working hard to meet the needs of each person in Memory Care the best they can. I can rest assured that my husband is treated with kindness and respect and is given excellent medical care.

All in all we really liked the facility and felt like she was well cared for. Hospice was there everyday too so it was sometimes tricky to differentiate who was doing the care but I did see some staff going above and beyond, putting lotion on her and fixing her hair before taking her out to dinner. The move in was great, because it was so quick, they were able to provide a lot of the furniture until we would get our own. Unfortunately, she went downhill pretty fast so she was only there about three weeks before passing and didn't participate in much, but when she was in the hospital, I was constantly on edge and advocating for her, and when she moved to Danbury, I felt like I could finally breathe a sigh of relief because at least there were people there who seem to care. The only critique I have is, it was a bit of a pain getting in touch with someone in billing and getting everything wrapped up after she passed but nothing too crazy and once I did talk to them, it was done, no back and forth or unfair charges.

My husband has been in the Danbury Memory Care unit for nearly a year. I have a very high regard for the people who work at Danbury. They are caring, compassionate, and give individualized care. I have watched them with my husband and with so many others and I witness beautiful moments every day. It is not an easy job to care for those with dementia and other issues. The aides and nurses work very hard and sometimes that work is very challenging, physically and emotionally.I appreciate the various activities, like "Arm Chair Travel" in the theater and the incomparable Scott Steelman leading us in song once a month. The food is very good, the housekeeping is fine and I am blessed that my life partner is so well-cared for. The facility is attractive and they keep it nicely decorated throughout the year. The atmosphere, run mostly by women, is upbeat and pleasant. There are several attractive common rooms where friends and family can gather and/or eat together. There is a hair salon with a mostly-retired (excellent) stylist who does a great job on my husband's hair and beard, very reasonably priced.I took care of my husband for many years and then, when my health and well-being were at risk, I did a lot of research and made a really good decision to go with Danbury on Snouffer Road in north Columbus.

They were very accommodating in keeping my parents together as one needed MC and the other only AL. Allowing the AL to reside in MC. The care staff was also quick to learn how the mc resident behaved and his needs

I visited numerous places looking for the ideal care facility for my mom, who was 87 a the time. She was experiencing some memory loss and could no longer sustain living alone. Some places were chaotic, others felt like warehouses for the nearly deceased. The Danbury had what I was looking for: warm, friendly staff, enough activity to keep her engaged, and enough quiet and order so as to feel that her needs would be noticed and met. My first impressions have been born out well. My mom is happier than she has been in years. She gets her social needs met as well as her physical, not just adequately, but with excellence. The staff are kind, caring, respectful, and all around great. I highly recommend the Danbury.

Our family has been so pleased with the attention to detail and caregiving our loved one is receiving. We like enjoying meals and activities with him too!

Mom broke her hip and was not able to rehabilitate, hence we could no longer care for her at home. Danbury was selected out of 5 facilities we looked at. It was nice to bring her furniture, pictures and decorations so she’d at least be surrounded with things from home. She was bed bound and unable to participate in the activities. We enjoyed she received holy communion every week. The food was not appetizing. An aide also threw out my mom’s dentures. She’d take them out and obviously when removing her plate they were thrown away. There was no way they could be replaced. There were good pcs, but one lied to my brother. He said no one had been in to check on mom for 5 hours. She lied and said she’d been in twice, but he hadn’t left the room. We were vigilant mom had 2 visitors, at times 1 every day. The care staff is understaffed. Nurses were great, Cap City was awesome. Basically all care staff is stretched, they do the best they can.
