There have been many management and staff changes during the time my mother has been there. If they could bring more stability, it would make a big improvement. Short staffing has affected several areas—including the kitchen, housekeeping, and activities—leading to a lack of continuity. That said, it is a lovely place. Currently, there seems to be some unhappiness with the kitchen and menu, but I’m hopeful the new director can make improvements for both the residents and the staff. I want to emphasize that I’ve never had a bad experience with anyone there. The staff are kind and caring. However, seniors become attached to their nurses, caregivers, or even the person at the front desk, and frequent changes can be unsettling. Each transition takes time before things feel back on track. Even with these challenges, I would absolutely recommend this community—and I also recommend A Place for Mom. In fact, I already have. The morning I first received a call from your representative, I was sitting at my desk in tears, not knowing what to do. And then the phone rang—it felt almost like an angel reaching out. I can’t remember her name for certain, but I think it may have been [name removed]. She was incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. She guided me in so many ways and truly helped me hold on to my sanity and health that week.

This facility is like a large, spacious, bright hotel!! The staff are awesome: nurses and caregivers on hand 24 hours a day. Residents are treated to day trips, painting classes, live music, everything you can imaging. There no sitting around waiting to die!! Emery room is bright with sunlight and the meals are hotel quality. I'm am over the moon happy that my husband is in such a wonderful place AND he's very happy there. I've told everyone I know how much I appreciate A Place For Mom

Nice building with friendly, smiling faces. The pool and gym are nice additions to an already beautiful community. My favorite place is the area with the pinball machines. The games are nice touches to the lounge areas and allows my kids to hang and enjoy fun time with the grands.

StoryPoint Cordova is a very beautiful community with nice amenities and very pleasant staff. I am always greeted with a smile and offered the utmost hospitality. Their efforts mean the most and we truly appreciate the care.

I like the size of mom's apartment, the fact that they have a pool and a salon on site, and that she could do physical therapy on site when she needed it. I think they need to perhaps do a better job of orientation for new residents.

Very friendly nice - nice and clean facility. Apartment sizes are very nice! They offer plenty of space.

The nursing and care staff in the memory unit are extremely helpful and professional, working to meet each resident with the care needed for their particular situation.The entire facility is clean, well maintained and provides a beautiful environment for the residents.There have been a number of positive changes implemented by the new management (as of [date removed]) including improved meals, more activities, a memory-care support group, and other changes discussed that are coming soonThe executive team has also been top notch - professional, super responsive and very helpful.

The director [name removed] is fantastic. The folks that run the events are great. The nurses are very helpful. We have struggled a bit with memory care personnel not being trained in memory as they need to be. There has been lots of turnover with the management change. Food is good but not gourmet. Service is really slow due to understaffed 1-2hrs to get dinner. We have considered moving them with some frustration but things are getting better and it would be more disruptive to move them at this point. The complaints are mostly irritants but some I expect more for the cost. They are there when it counts though so far.

My mom has been more social since being there. She is happy and active in this facility. The food is great. We had a private meal with our family for her birthday and it was really good. We have been disappointed with lack of some personal communication with admin staff. Not sure they are performing all of housekeeping tasks We assumed were included in cost. Overall we are satisfied.

Kari went above and beyond to assist me. She is the best and has restored my faith in humanity.

Amazingly helpful staff and a beautiful facility! When we began our search for our loved one, Story Point Cordova Memory Care was far and away our favorite place. They had a professional and cheerful staff, and (unlike most facilities we toured) the residents were genuinely engaged and enjoying their activities.. several even told me how much they loved living there. Although an unexpected medical event kept our loved one from ever becoming a member of the Story Point family, the admissions team (especially Kari) continued to check on her, and assist us as we navigated the highly stressful decision-making needs for a patient with advanced dementia. They really personalized their assistance and provided many helpful suggestions that we would not have thought through on our own. I highly recommend you consider Story Point for your loved one with dementia.

StoryPoint has been the answer to my family's prayers. The facility is beautiful and the apartments are very nice. There is a posted daily calendar of activities and also a weekly calendar for each apartment. Some of the activities I've witnessed are a University of Memphis tailgate party, music playing in any of the common areas, art classes, field trips, etc. The dining room is lovely and the meal selection is impressive. My mother is very happy with the quality of the food selection. She is also very happy that she has the independence to walk down the hall to the salon and get her hair and nails done. I personally have been a very appreciative of the nursing staff. The StoryPoint team is professional, considerate, extremely helpful, and very kind to my mother. The sales team, the front desk receptionists, the nurses, the activities directors, the kitchen staff and housekeeping are all angels and are making a huge difference to my family.

Love hung in the community where I can hang out with other men playing games. The bar and other activities.
