It has been a great place for my mom in the 15months she's lived there. It's a perfect size apartment, with a great , friendly, caring staff, good assortment of activities and trips offered . I am there almost daily so I have seen first hand what an awesome place it is.

Staff are wonderful. Food could be better. Just going on my sister's opinion. They need handicap ramps at all entrances/exits. She is very happy there.

Absolutely a five, it was the best! Story point is one of the top rated adult/senior communities in a five state area. A beautiful amazing complex, the staff was continuously exceptional. The activity calendar was well organized, including in-house events, and entertainment!. The dining experience was exceptional, being prepared by talented, chefs and cooks. The therapy and exercise classes were well-versed and accommodated various levels of proper exercise. The residence were very warm and caring as mom made many friends there. Unfortunately, we lost our mom recently however, our family is incredibly blessed that Mom was able to live and enjoy her life at story point, surrounded by her loving family.

The one and only problem we have had is with the in house company they have that you can hire to help with mediation. We had a really bad experience with them and do not feel comfortable with them taking care of my dad's medication so we are now looking into moving him to the assisted living in story pointe so their people will be taking care of medication. Everyone else and everything else we have been extremely happy with. Every administration and facility staff member does a great job of being welcoming and making the transition easier. They have went over and beyond to help my dad settle in and get involved.

It’s a nice facility overall. They seem to be having some issues at this time with staffing/management of housekeeping. This has resulted in the frequency of cleaning and laundry being less than promised. Also the medical group they speak about at move in took weeks to respond to a request to get my parent on the caseload. This was after about 4 calls and messages. As long as things improve we will remain there.

Mom's happy here now. It took her awhile to assimilate. The area outside and in is clean. There has been a problem lately because she is supposed to to have her room cleaned every 2 weeks it's been now 3 weeks The staff has been very nice. Since mom is in independent living can't give u an answer. The food seems over cooked they have a tendency to cover everything with a sauce and when asked to put it on the side it doesn't happen. They try to give the dishes glorified names which sometimes confuse them. Their food has been really bad. It took mom awhile before she actually participated in any activities. But she has developed friendships that helps her a lot. If it wasn't for the fact mom only gets 1 meal a day which is below pare and having now the trouble of not getting clean I got to say 3 going a little to 4.All in all mom has definitely made an improvement on her quality of life. Yes it's convenient the price is a little high when u have the food they r getting. But she loves her 1 bedroom and does do some activities so she's pleased and so r her daughters.

I can't say enough about Storypoint in Fairfield. They are amazing! They are responsive to any requests. The entire staff are amazing and the residents are wonderful as well. My mom absolutely loves living there and is thriving! Thank you for such an amazing place!

The facility and staff are great, the problem is complex. Accommodations must be made to fully integrate with the facility. Trust and communications are key on both sides. Work on both.

Rent plus utilities, cable, meals and activities is reasonable at $[removed]. But Story Point uses a 3rd party to provide care for their residents. [removed] (3rd party providing care) workers are kind and professional. They offer menus of care in which services can be chosen at a daily rate. They also have a menu of extra charges for services not delineated on the menu...for example, my mother in law tripped and bumped her elbow. [name removed] charged an extra $[removed] for that day for "an extra person to escort her to her meals." If she pulls the emergency pull cord in her room, it is $[removed] per occurrence and so on. This in on top of the $[removed] a day charge.

My husband and I toured several senior living communities and found storypoint the best fit for my mother who had livid with us for seven yesrs. My mother made the choice after we talked to the awesome staff and discussed with her.its been awesome ,we are very happy for her. [name removed] ARE GREAT PEOPLE AS WELL AS THE STAFF.

My grandma is in the memory care unit she is doing good there. the bad things I hear are there not much going on weekends. She said she made friends with other people there at storypoint.

The activities was lower because my sister did not enjoy the activities, but you can't please everyone. The overall experience and value for cost , the memory care she was in was pretty full of people needing a lot of assistance, so the staff seemed inadequate. More staff would have helped. Still overall, I liked Storypoint quite a lot.
