[name removed] and [name removed], who are on the administrative staff, are genuinely invested in the well being of the residents and are generous with their time and attention. The residents are very welcoming and friendly. The building is clean, fresh, and bright and common areas are a pleasure to spend time in.

I loved it and so did my mother. She liked the independence that she would have and what we loved the most was the all day dining because she never knows when she will be ready to eat. And oh my gosh the food options and the flavor!!! The food service there was incredible!

Beautiful facility. Very clean and updated. It is a very warm and inviting atmosphere. There are a lot of activities provided to keep residents active and engaged. Would highly recommend this facility.

The staff here are just wonderful. The front desk woman Melanie is an absolute godsend, her attentiveness and care leaves me fully assured that my loved ones are in good hands.

We love Independence Village! Jean Brace is a huge asset. This place is a hidden gem from dining, atmosphere, and care. My mom receives the best care and is very happy. I can sleep at night because of Independence Village.

"Coming from another senior living community in the metro Detroit area, my parents have now lived at The Independence Village of Madison Heights for around 7 months, and they truly enjoy it here. The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating, and my parents have made great friends among the fellow residents. I feel comfortable and secure knowing they are in a safe location with supportive surroundings. Highly recommended.

Such a great place for my 87 year old mom! Although mom doesn’t need assisted living, she was struggling to prepare her own meals, step into a bathtub to shower & keep up with cleaning at her condo. My sisters and I checked out Independence Village after a coworker recently moved her mom there. While there, I ran into 2 people I knew that recently moved there and 2 others - one who moved in her mom and the other her grandma. All raved about this place! The staff & community members are so friendly. I took the opportunity to ask people that I didn’t know if they liked living there and all of them loved it so we moved mom there. My mom appreciates the every other week cleaning and especially the dining room being open from 7am-7pm without having to adhere to set meal times. The walk-in shower is perfect for her. The building is clean and bright with lots of natural light. The activity calendar is full of events every day. I can’t recommend Independence Village enough!

When we started looking for a place for my mother to live, we checked out quite a few places in the surrounding area and Independence Village of Madison Hts stood out for a few different reasons. For one, every staff member who I have met has been friendly and attentive. [removed names] (in mgt) are exceptionally dedicated staff members. It’s apparent to me that they care about the residents, and are invested in the wellbeing of the people they serve. Secondly, it is a clean and attractive environment. Thirdly, the food is good and the residents are able to eat at times that are right for them. This was a big plus for my mother as the place she was living in prior had set times for meals, which was hard for her to adjust to. Finally, my mother always had a full life when living on her own, and she’s grateful that there are plenty of activities for her to participate in. Independence Village of Madison Hts checked off all the boxes for us, and my mother is very happy living there.

We toured many places for my 95 year old mom to move into and couldn't be more pleased with our decision to make Independence Village her new home. My mom had a hip operation and was moving from her own home...Sheri and Jean at Independence Village were extremely helpful during the entire process. She loves her new apartment and especially all the wonderful residents and IV team members...It's like one big family! The Team is always thinking of the residents and their well-being. My husband and I feel so comfortable with her care and safety and love to visit regularly. We highly recommend Independence Village of Madison Heights.

The staff and facilities are very nice. The food was a little lacking in flavor for my dad's taste but the variety was great. Apartment was spacious and well appointed. The one thing I would rate poorly was the co-located home health agency but I understand they were separate from the facility and they were being replaced by a new company when my dad moved to assisted living.

Got my brother in law in almost a year ago. He is doing great and we are extremely pleased with the facility. It's a nice, clean facility, programs and meals. Great rooms.

. Sheri the executive such a kind and caring person who is there whenever you have a question or concern and has helped me on a personal level since moving in. Linda what can I say she is just truly a breath of fresh air and a smile that can light up any room. From dancing to painting to bus rides and MUCH MORE. She is also a terrific asset to the community. Bryan who has a million jobs but does not let that come before the community members. He is always helping with hanging photos to a clog toilet and everything in-between. Jean who is a new addition to the community is very personable and very kind and caring and always has some uplifting words to make your day. Thank you all for everything you do for not only me but our community!

Out of 7 visits, this was absolutely the best overall at the skill, People..[name removed] went way over ; beyond, so genuineness, clean and great modeling.

My mom had such a horrible experience at [community removed], so much better in every single aspect-- food, staff, cleanliness and we are so happy to be somewhere safe
