Carestaff is exceptional especially with the challenges they sometimes face.

I.V. is more than we could have asked for, for our mom. It just keeps getting better. EVERYONE there is always so helpful and kind and they go out of their way SO much to make sure the residents (and families) are happy and cared for. They are a second family to us.
They take care of medical needs such as coordinating lab work with the mobile lab, providing physical and occupational therapy, passing out meds, or in-house doctor visits.
They take care of a massive amount of fun social activities whether it's making Christmas wreaths, or listening to a concert, they've got it covered. We love how the families are included in the activities.
Our mom is thriving and we couldn't be happier with the staff and the facility.

I live here with my husband. Currently I am living in the Independent Community and my husband is living in the Assisted Community. He is working on getting stronger so we can live together once again. It's been a great place and the staff are always available when you need them. The activities are outstanding. We would like a little more variety in the menu at dinner time.

I've lived in this community for over two years and I absolutely love my experience. The staff are friendly and helpful and the monthly calendar is always full of activities for me to participate in. I enjoy sitting in the Lobby talking with the staff and other residents while I wait for my mail to be delivered.

I've been a resident here for 4 years. My wife recently passed in [date removed] after a 13 year battle with Parkinson's disease. We cannot express enough appreciation for the wonderful support and friendship that was provided.

Overall very positive, staff are thoughtful, and kind. Always, lots to do for activities. I've used the shuttle to enjoy activities that were outside the community. I've enjoyed living here, I've met so many nice people that I interact with on a regular basis.

Overall, I give this community and staff an excellent review. The community is always clean and the staff are always friendly. There are always so many activities that my wife and I can participate in on a daily basis.

This facility is by FAR the superior place in the area. Yes, you may pay a fraction more, but don’t plan on moving for random reasons. We fell upon two previous facilities before landing here. The price made me nervous, so I went with other choices. In hindsight, I should have started here. The staff is amazing and they become family. The residents retain their integrity and they are on top of patient care. There is no place better within a 100 mile radius of midland, and I can personally attest to this. I am forever grateful for their care of my dad, and plan to utilize them in the future.

Beautiful facility with too many amenities to mention in this review. Spacious accommodations, tasteful and exquisite building interior and exterior. Upscale, fine dining facility. By far, the nicest and most dignified elderly care facility in the area.

Independence Village is a great community for your elderly loved ones. They have lots of fun activities and their staff are always willing to help for any where they can. They are also very kind and caring and trustworthy! And the food is absolutely delicious!! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who’s looking for a place for their parents

The staff is great the facility is really well kept, the grounds are beautiful. They do a ton of good activities. The on care nursing can be spotty.

I believe God directed her stay at Independence Village. She suffered a stroke which essentially took all her communication away, adding to her dementia. We loved her and wanted her caretakers to love her too. They did!! They hugged her and kissed her cheeks and walked and talked with her. It gave us so much peace knowing that she was taken care of so well. The took our very frequent calls and face time which helped us stay connected. Her stay was short but sweet. Kudos to all of you for caring so deeply for our mom??

I just wanted to post a review on the experience we had with Olivia, the Community Specialist, at Independence Village. My dad went into rehab with the understanding that he would probably need an assisted living option after leaving rehab since he could no longer live alone. My brother toured Independence Village and was impressed with the environment, including how friendly everyone was there. Olivia kept in touch with me to check on my dad’s progress every couple of weeks and offered to assist in any way she could. She even alerted me to things that would take place during rehab that I wasn’t made aware of initially, such as care conferences. When my dad requested to go back closer to where his home was rather than stay in Midland, I let Olivia know, and she was so sweet and supportive, even though my dad would not be going there. She made a difficult experience of being faced with having to put a parent into a new environment so much more bearable. I know he would have gotten the best care and been treated kindly and with dignity at Independence Village had he chosen to stay in Midland.

I moved into the community after my beloved husband passed away. I was worried about moving in without him, but everything has been amazing. I love the activities, I participate in exercise class everyday. I've gone to an outing to Dow Gardens, it was just great. The food is wonderful, I love that fish is offered so often. My room is very pretty will all my belongings. The staff have been welcoming and so kind, I'm very happy! This community has been an answer to my prayers!
