The staff at Danbury, Mt Vernon have consistently shown a genuine concern for my mom's well being and continued development in her community. Mom has been at the Danbury now for almost two years and we can't think of a better place for her to be in the region. We knew from our very first visit that she would be in very good hands. We first met with the sales manager but quickly realized that she does much more for the residents and pays very close attention to moms well being. All staff pay close attention to moms daily activities and helps out and intervenes whenever necessary. The front desk staff are always engaged and consistent in her safety and security and we know she is always in safe hands.

Mom set up tours of two facilities. After her Danbury visit, she came home and said “Cancel the other tour, I’m going to Danbury”. She was there for 2.5 years, and it was a wonderful experience for her. Everyone knew her, and she was happy.It is hard to watch a parent get old, and even harder when you can’t care for them yourself. For us, mom living at Danbury meant she got to be active and social, and we did not have to worry as much about if she was lonely, or eating enough, or if she was taking her medications.Moving her from one level of care to the next was seamless, and made difficult decisions easier. Everyone was wonderful, helpful, and truly took care of mom.

My mother moved into this community in a one bedroom with the option to move into a 2 bedroom if it became available. She enjoyed the positive feeling from the staff and still being able to do things on her own. Although over the past year, she was too ill to participate in activities. She still loved having some independence with the help of staff for some items. Everyone there was friendly, helpful and all around nice. Especially in the front office/reception/nursing areas. When she passed, they were very comforting and helpful in getting everything done. 10 out of 10!

My wife has lived at Danbury since [date removed]. She needs special care and the staff has done a wonderful job of taking care of her. Any requests that I have are taken care of, which gives me peace of mind during these trying times. I was impressed at how everyone gave me a warm welcome to their facility. They are really helping my husband getting adjusted to his new residence. I am very satisfied and my son, [name removed], agrees with my assessment.

The family night was well organized and a very good experience. Although I didnt have guest join me, I could see the families and other residents enjoying each other's company. The decorations and accommodations for 170+ people were very well done. The servers and staff managed the crowd well and delivered the meals timely and smoothly. The food was fantastic with great quality and quantity. 4.999 stars for satisfaction.

I toured the facility and found it to be beautiful, with many useful amenities. Kim Phillips gave me the tour, and her passion for the residents was evident in all her interactions.

My aunt moved to Danbury 2 months ago. The staff has been helpful and friendly. She has enjoyed the variety of programs and outings. The facility, inside and out, is clean, warm, and inviting. The food is also very good.

About a week ago we attended the Family Chili Night at Danbury with some of my family. A few more showed up than I expected, but it was a great showing for my Mom. She really enjoyed seeing some that had not been to Danbury to visit her before. Hopefully now that they know how nice Danbury is and how friendly all the staff and residents were they will want to come back. I know I try to make it to Danbury at least every week to have a meal with Mom and I really enjoy it. They cater to my every need as I'm sure they do for my Mom. Glad we put my Mom at Danbury. Nothing but the Best!!

All of the staff at Danbury take care of my Mother better than I could do myself at home. They truly care about their residents. I couldn't be happier with them.

My mother lived at Danbury Memory Care for a few weeks before she died. Her care was very good. It was also individualized to her specific needs. All the staff were very caring. I have absolutely no complaints.

My mother was a resident at Danbury Mt. Vernon for a little less than a month before she died. Her care was extremely good. Everyone was very involved with mom as a person, not just a number.

We recently moved in and have been so blessed to feel welcomed by every staff we have interacted with or observed caring for facility residents. As we live in a Villa we are independent, and can come and go as we please, cook our own meals or eat in a welcoming dining room with nutritious food served. We would recommend Danbury Mt. Vernon to anyone who seeks a special place for themselves or their loved ones!

We sold a special home and have moved into the Villas recently and are very happy to live independently and still be able to enjoy cooking in our home yet take a break and eat in the inviting dining room with nutritious and well balanced meals. We can enjoy making the villa our special new home without the concern for homeownership. Staff are all energetic and open to being there for everyone. We do observe the caring atmosphere that all staff present to each resident. Danbury has been on our radar for several years and it is a blessing to be here!

Not only did they help to quickly offer respite care at a sister facility, but they also facilitated the move to our permanent home more quickly than anticipated. The staff is top notch from the chef who prepares healthy, appetizing meals to the servers who know and truly care for your loved one. The facility utilizes evidenced based practices from the decor, to the room designs all the way to the activities that are offered daily. The nursing staff is well educated and very communicative. This is home!
