A nice place with many dedicated people. Overall good food and lots of activity options. Administration is involved in the day to day operations. The care staff is patient, and willing to help with anything. We just had a week long special event that was great with activities, decorations, food. The activities staff put a lot of work into it.

Great community! The facility is very clean and the employees are great with the residents. Carla is one of the most caring person in the facility, very giving and involved with residents and family. Willing to do so many things to make sure her residents have everything they need and are happy.

Oliver Woods is a wonderful community that truly cares about the well-being of its residents. What makes this community stand out, however, is its Executive Director, Carla. Carla is actively involved in the day-to-day life of the community. She knows every resident by name, takes the time to know their families, and is always available to help in any way she can. She leads with integrity, professionalism, and a genuine passion for serving older adults and their loved ones. I have personally witnessed Carla go above and beyond—even spending her own money—to make sure a resident had what they needed. What impresses me most is that she never seeks recognition for these acts of kindness. She leads with humility, quietly doing the right thing simply because she cares. That kind of leadership is rare. Oliver Woods is incredibly fortunate to have Carla at the helm. Her compassion, dedication, and selfless leadership create a culture that is felt by every resident, every family, and every member of the staff. She is a true blessing to this community.

When my 93-year-old father's Alzheimers and dementia started to become a real problem a year ago, we were concerned about finding a good place where he could live and be cared for around the clock. We chose Oliver Woods in Owosso, and I cannot praise this facility highly enough. Run wonderfully by Carla LaMarr, with super assistance from folks like Zoie Martinez, Christi, Lilly, and too many others to name... they have all moved mountains to make my dad feel comfortable. He considers this to be his home and did so from the start of his residence there. The atmosphere is pleasant and very clean, and the recreational facilities they offer and the food are all outstanding. But most of all it is the people here... they treat my dad as if he were a part of their own families. They also have wonderful animal visits, from rabbits and dogs to a miniature horse... dad loves seeing them all, and he is happier than I have ever seen him. I highly recommend Oliver Woods!

This was not my first time being in this facility. My husbands grandpa was placed here as well years ago. I back then always thought this was a nice facility for a loved one. So as I am very pleased with how much the staff does go out of there way to make my Mother feel so at home. They are always keeping me up to date with anything that is going on with my Mother from her medical care to her memory care. Overall this is a great place if your looking to place a loved one. ?
