at Oliver Woods

Upon our arrival at Oliver Woods we noticed one significant difference from other assisted living facilities immediately - Oliver Woods has an at-home feel. The residents are meandering about casually visiting, reading, puzzling, napping, or watching television. It's peaceful and joyful. The next thing you notice is the resident's Activities Calendar. It is chocked full of stimulating events that the residents can choose from at their leisure. Staff visit each hall to invite residents personally to the varying events. These events include things like exercise class (Fabulous! I have personally attended), visits from Pumpkin the pony, the hair salon, church, and/or outings. The food is good, room for improvement here, but I know Oliver Woods is actively working to improve menu options. Cooking for as many folks as they do every day is no easy task. Staff are pleasant to work with and around if you happen to be spending time there as I do. Overall, it's a WONDERFUL place for loved ones.

My mom has been at Oliver Woods for almost 3 years. Although my family and I have developed trust in how the staff care for her, what is more important is how my mom feels. She definitely feels at home and cared for here.

Oliver Woods is a beautiful facility that combines nature and community. Grounds are awesome, staff is friendly and diligent, definitely a place to call home.

I work at a sister community and so I have been to Oliver Woods for trainings. They are a wonderful community with such a great atmosphere. The staff and management team are absolutely wonderful. The activities are fun and engaging, the food smells and tastes great, the place looks fantastic, and the care is wonderful. Definitely a place you want to take your loved one.

Oliver Woods is an excellent facility for all the care and services our mom needs. Her personal staff is very caring and attentive to make sure all her needs are met. She enjoys the meals and the activities provide the social interaction she needs. We also appreciate the medical staff and the care she receives from them. The Oliver Woods staff works together to provide the best care for their residents. It gives us great peace of mind to know our mom is content in their care.
