at StoryPoint Portage

The staff at Storypoint Portage are kind and professional. They have taken excellent care of my dad as he goes through the stages of dementia. We have been to several memory care facilities and this by far is the absolute best!

I would highly recommend Story Point. We moved my Mom from an assisted living facility in Elkhart, IN and Story Point was like a 5 star resort compared to where she was at previously . The staff were always friendly and they the seemed like they actually cared, it was not just a job for them. The food was great, and the layout was perfect with everything within a circle so my Mom couldn't get lost. Also, the Wellness Director, Rebekha Kirk, was amazing. If there were ever any concerns, she would take care of them right away.

My sister moved into story point after the passing of her husband and has received quality supportive services to meet her needs at StoryPoint. She relocated there after living in a beautiful home for over 25 years and to see that she has been more motivated and independent since being at StoryPoint . Thank you To the administrative staff and the caregiving staff She has her smile back.

My parents have lived at StoryPoint for two years. I am very grateful for the great experiences and friendships they've made there and I'm beyond grateful for the kindness and care they have received as their lives changed and they needed more support. They have both thrived in this beautiful place.

This is a large, well appointed community with a mixed population ranging from independent to assisted to memory care. Those who are able, or choose to, have many opportunities to engage in daily enrichment.I made this choice for my wife after a detailed search and facility visits within a certain traveling radius.I am happy with my choice.

Lots of activities--optional to partake in them. Not enough closet space or storage space for clothing. Many residents in good health who enjoy the activities. We would meet more people if we changed tables for dinner occasionally. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I like the fact that they will give us a ride to the grocery store and doctor. I also like that we can keep our car if we want to. I like their Holiday buffets and happy hours.

Husband and I took the tour,we are looking for my mother,wonderful place for her to be in an apartment.

The facility is great. High ceilings and a lot of natural light. The staff is warm and friendly and even staff in other parts of the building greet you by name. The director is not near as friendly and her predecessor set a high bar which she has not been able to replicate. All other team leadership is great and the Memory Care Team is excellent and responds to any concerns positively.

When my folks were looking for a place to move after living in the same home for almost 60 years I started to do a great deal of research on assisted living homes in our area. I wanted a place that let my folks live in an apartment that was a home. I wanted a place where they were treated with dignity and respect. I was also looking for a place where they would stay in the same room as they needed additional care. Storypoint has exceeded my hopes. The staff has gone above and beyond in the care they provide. They remembered the little thing and stop and talk to the residents. Storypoint has activities that create opportunities to meet new people and create memories. When my father was having a difficult time and requiring more time and care it just happened. People were there to help when and as he needed it. I could not have found a better match for my folks and I am great they were there when we needed them.

StoryPoint has been an awesome community! I am a semi retired Life Enrichment coordinator and now provide services at StoryPoint. My program is Music Appreciation i spend a couple of hours a month sharing music and memories with the wonderful folks living in memory care. So many good things happening in this community. I have always been impressed with the caring and helpful team that you have.

A community that is feels like home. The staff and leadership love each resident as if they were their own family.

They are very open to constructive criticism and make a concerted effort to address a concern. They have outstanding facilities and they are well maintained. Also I like the excellent staff ratio in support of residents.

The staff at StoryPoint is caring, attentive to my needs and friendly. The environment is clean and well maintained. This is a wonderful facility.

My mother has been here at StoryPoint for almost 2 years and is doing great! Her room, the food, and the staff are fantastic. We enjoy coming to visit her and are always warmly welcomed by the staff.
