My dad was at StoryPoint in Saline for the last 5 years due to Parkinson's Disease. The caregiving at StoryPoint Saline became fantastic when Kristin Goetz took over 3 years ago and perhaps even better when she hired Tayler Babik as her assistant. If either of them had left to go somewhere else, while my dad was there, I would have moved him to wherever they went! When your dad cannot do much for himself and needs help with almost every single thing from getting up, to using the bathroom, care becomes the primary focus. It is so hard when you have to switch places with your parent and they become the child. You feel so alone and so guilty if you are unable to do their care 24/7. Really, it’s like leaving your 2 year old somewhere 24 hours a day and hoping for the best. Kristin and Tayler were both available anytime of the day or night. I am not just saying this, they really would respond to a message at 3am and did whatever was needed. It is a vocation for them, not a job! I tear up just thinking how lucky my dad and I were to have them. They really made sure everyone got the BEST care. They just took care of everything. If I was concerned about anything at all and mentioned it, it would be taken care of. So even though I was suddenly the parent of my dad, I now had two of my own new parents who I knew would always be there to help and support me. They pitched in whenever necessary and making sure that every person living at StoryPoint was well looked after was clearly their top priority! The caregivers that Kristin and Tayler hired and oversaw were amazing! It take a huge amount of insight and critical thinking to hire the best caregivers ever! The caregivers themselves were like family and I really miss the whole team. My dad was really happy there. Honestly, I would love to have been woken up and helped to get ready by any of them. They were really wonderful! The activities were always wonderful and varied. My dad said it was so much more interesting than living in our house. They have always had great activities there!Jody, the director is also all anyone could ever ask for as a director. If you get a tear in your eye, she will too out of empathy. This is who you want directing the whole place: someone with kindness and a heart as well as intelligence!Just fyi, I am the textbook helicopter daughter. My own adult daughter had to have a talk with me, now that my dad is gone to make sure I wouldn’t start obsessing over her again. I was at StoryPoint anywhere from 30 to 84 hours a week. I loved spending time with my dad, but this meant that I saw and noticed a lot and I can honestly say that StoryPoint Saline is very well run! Also they have great food and the ceilings are very high. Maintenance is always so helpful too and housekeeping!

Moving mom initially to "Independent-Assisted Living" was easier than the move from there to memory care. Where lots move was promised than was delivered.

My grandparents have been living at StoryPoint for over a year now. In that time, we have met so many wonderful folks! The people are what make this place awesome!

My mom loves living at StoryPoint. She is very picky, and was not happy at other senior places. She like the staff, food and activities. When my husband and I need to move into senior living we plan to go to StoryPoint-Saline.

Storypoint Saline was the 4th place we toured in 2 days and it was clearly the best tour and best facility we saw in the Ann Arbor area. I’d be very comfortable having my parents live there.

My mother was thrilled with the dining options and quality of the food. The staff was overall very good except for one or two care assistants who barely said hello to her.
Facility was nice and clean. We had a problem with getting a few medication's on board for my mom when she was arrived there, especially pain medication. Part of this was Arbor Hospice problem and lack of an in-house physician who had time to review her list and make sure she had everything. Also, the physician that was available would not approve a specialty medication that her psychiatrist had prescribed.
I think the in-house hospice service company would've been better than an outside one.

Young, vibrant staff; beautiful amenities and decor. These might be the first things you notice… But more importantly, the residents are engaged in activities on and off campus; have plenty of places to gather socially in small or larger groups. Plenty of sidewalk surrounds the community for strolling… But if the weather is inclement, the hallways are generously wide and airy. Reasonably short drive to shopping, and of course, Ann Arbor.

Wonderful tour provided by Sarah, she spoke directly to my parents, answered their questions fully and spoke in a voice they could hear and understand. She took us on a tour of the facility which was thorough but not overwhelming.

I had the pleasure of visiting Storypoint and I was incredibly impressed by what I saw. The residents all appeared very well cared for and genuinely happy. It was clear from the moment I walked in that this is a place filled with warmth, compassion, and a true sense of community. There are plenty of engaging activities for the residents, and the level of involvement from the staff is outstanding. You can truly tell that everyone who works there loves what they do — their dedication and genuine care for the residents really stood out. It’s heartwarming to see a place where the well-being of the residents is clearly the top priority. I would highly recommend Storypoint to anyone looking for a caring, active, and supportive environment for their loved one.
