at StoryPoint Schererville

My wife and I moved her parents into StoryPoint independent living a few months ago. We toured multiple facilities, but StoryPoint stuck out for many reasons: a super friendly staff, a beautiful facility, great apartment size / features, a very active social calendar (can’t miss live music at ‘Thirsty Thursday’), and a ‘feeling’ of belonging that was felt immediately.The tours (thanks Dawn!) and the move-in experience were great and everyone was super friendly - as expected. But now, after visiting around ten times before and after move in day, the positive and inviting culture that Stephanie and her management team have developed is undeniably more than just a gimmick to get you in the door.It is next to impossible to pass an employee or a tenant of StoryPoint without a smile, kind word/gesture, or pleasant conversation. This is really the ‘StoryPoint difference’.My in-laws are thoroughly enjoying their time at StoryPoint - and we sleep better knowing they picked the right place.

I have two family members living in the StoryPoint community. The common areas, dining rooms and event spaces are attractive and comfortable. The care providers and administrative staff are very friendly and responsive. My 85-year old uncle is thriving now that he has the care he needs and healthy meals he simply could not prepare for himself. The social activities are well-organized and the food is delicious. I am grateful for the care StoryPoint is giving my family members in their golden years.

The facility is very clean, lots of activities, and the staff is fantastic!

The administration is always willings to help and listen to the residents. The reason i say that is because i know that the people have concerns but they are points about where we live and our happiness. We are appreciative that adminsitration have concerns about what we have to say and helps us. After mulitiple tours of visiting differnent communities i was left with two places. I chose this place to call home and im happy i did.

Storypoint is a beautiful building in the area with the most welcoming staff to make you feel comfortable and ‘at home’ the moment you walk through the doors. Stephanie the administrator is always very helpful and on top of things for her staff and residents! The DON Natasha also goes above and beyond for her residents making sure they are getting the best quality care. One thing I love about this building is the activity department is always keeping the community lively with elevated events for the residents and their family members if they choose to join! As an individual who frequents the building often, it is truly a joy to come here and help out where I can within the community. I would definitely recommend Story Point Schererville to anyone looking! The leadership team here makes all the difference!

I have lived at Story Point (formerly [facility name removed]) of Schererville for 8 years. There have been many changes and have been many changes and have accepted them all. At this time the food could be much better. Overall a very nice place to live. Activities and entertainment were excellent.

My dad has been at Storypoint for 3 1/2 years. The staff are amazing! They genuinely care for the residents, I know making a hard decision he best decision our family made.

Storypoint independent living has been a blessing for out family. My mom has been here since [date removed] the entire staff has shown genuine compassion and warmth. Every treats her and us like part of a wonderful extended family the care, kindness, and support they provide everyday give us such peace of mind. We are truly grateful for the community.

I was definitely impressed by StoryPoint Schererville! The facility itself is clean and has a comfortable feel. There were plenty of varied activites / events to keep busy and make it easy to develop relationships! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly, you could tell they cared aboit their residents! Would definitely recommend!!

What we like the most about the community is that everyone is helpful and polite! The secretary's are like a family friend

Dawn was very thorough with all of the amenities offered. She made me and my wife very comfortable. Went to great lengths to answer all of my questions. Beautiful complex.

The staff are all very professional, kind and engaging to residents and family. I have had a pleasant experience. The facility is very clean. The staff have given great care to my sister. They have consistent activities and entertainment to engage the residents. The food is good and dining is a family atmosphere. Residents are given a choice and asked if they want additional servings.

When our family member could no longer continue at home, he chose StoryPoint, and we are happy that he did. We all received excellent orientation before he moved in, and the community liaison was very attentive. The moving in process was easy, and staff were immediately helpful and welcoming. The adjustment process was hard for our formerly fiercely independent family member, and staff worked well with him to make it easier. People at the front desk, in the nursing corps, with maintenance, and with administration have all been responsive and helpful. The facility itself is clean, bright, and well lit. We all know that some days are better than others, and it is difficult to always have a cheerful, positive attitude. It appears that the administration has done a wonderful job of hiring people who genuinely care about the residents at StoryPoint, but it also appears that the administration is continuing to succeed by doing the things that keep staff motivated and positive.

Someone from our family visited my mother everyday. Staff was very helpful. Facility was very welcoming.
