I have lived at Story Point (formerly [facility name removed]) of Schererville for 8 years. There have been many changes and have been many changes and have accepted them all. At this time the food could be much better. Overall a very nice place to live. Activities and entertainment were excellent.

My dad has been at Storypoint for 3 1/2 years. The staff are amazing! They genuinely care for the residents, I know making a hard decision he best decision our family made.

Storypoint independent living has been a blessing for out family. My mom has been here since [date removed] the entire staff has shown genuine compassion and warmth. Every treats her and us like part of a wonderful extended family the care, kindness, and support they provide everyday give us such peace of mind. We are truly grateful for the community.

I was definitely impressed by StoryPoint Schererville! The facility itself is clean and has a comfortable feel. There were plenty of varied activites / events to keep busy and make it easy to develop relationships! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly, you could tell they cared aboit their residents! Would definitely recommend!!

Dawn was very thorough with all of the amenities offered. She made me and my wife very comfortable. Went to great lengths to answer all of my questions. Beautiful complex.

The staff are all very professional, kind and engaging to residents and family. I have had a pleasant experience. The facility is very clean. The staff have given great care to my sister. They have consistent activities and entertainment to engage the residents. The food is good and dining is a family atmosphere. Residents are given a choice and asked if they want additional servings.

When our family member could no longer continue at home, he chose StoryPoint, and we are happy that he did. We all received excellent orientation before he moved in, and the community liaison was very attentive. The moving in process was easy, and staff were immediately helpful and welcoming. The adjustment process was hard for our formerly fiercely independent family member, and staff worked well with him to make it easier. People at the front desk, in the nursing corps, with maintenance, and with administration have all been responsive and helpful. The facility itself is clean, bright, and well lit. We all know that some days are better than others, and it is difficult to always have a cheerful, positive attitude. It appears that the administration has done a wonderful job of hiring people who genuinely care about the residents at StoryPoint, but it also appears that the administration is continuing to succeed by doing the things that keep staff motivated and positive.

Someone from our family visited my mother everyday. Staff was very helpful. Facility was very welcoming.

What I like the most about StoryPoint Schererville is the overall friendliness and the cleanliness. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families based on the experience I have had so far.

Thank you StoryPoint for the wonderful life you gave our dad for the past 10 months. He loved every minute there once he adjusted. He met so many special people and always told us how much he loved being there. From the first day he walked in until his last breathe. Amina, Elsa, the wait staff and everyone in between thank you for caring about my dad. We will miss seeing your smiling faces.

Our family's experience with StoryPoint was very positive. Our 92 year old Mother needed a place where she would be safe and would have access to additional care if needed. As a remote caregiver (I lived >700 miles away) I needed the peace of mind knowing Mom was safe and well cared for. StoryPoint delivered on those needs. Whenever Mom required additional help or support, the StoryPoint staff were there. They went above and beyond to make her feel safe and comfortable. All the staff, from the dining room, maintenance, housekeeping to the admistrative staff and facility director, were caring, compassionate, cheerful and kind.We also took advantage of the ala carte personal care services available through CorsoCare to check-in on Mom, provide wound care as well as supportive care while she was in hospice. Each and every CorsoCare team member was professional, friendly, caring, and compassionate.Our family is grateful for the wonderful care provided to our Mom.

My mother lived here for almost seven years. She moved there because she liked the apartment layouts and the fact, that she didn't need to cook. She stayed because she found a new family here. The staff was always friendly and helpful and I was relieved to know she was in a place she could call home.

Our mom was a resident from [date removed] until her passing in [date removed]. She was one of the first residents in the facility. We were impressed from the beginning. The staff was wonderful, loving and helpful. Always ready to answer all questions/concerns. Very professional, but also very personal. As always, family should always stay on top of their loved one's care, as we did, but felt secure in knowing that her care was one of the best. Over the years, there was a change in leadership, staff, and of course now, change in corporate ownership. We experienced the evolution of that throughout the years. We are happy to say that our mom passed after StoryPoint took over and we could not have been more impressed as the quality of care, the staff and leadership improved! Our mom passed with grace and love, surrounded by her family, and the loving care of the StoryPoint (Schererville)staff. They treated her as one of their own, with dignity and love, treated us with respect and comfort.
