at Independence Village Of Traverse City

My mom was looking for a new community where she could feel safe and enjoy common interest in activities with people her age. Independence village has been just the right environment for her. The staff are always very warm and kind. The best part is that the residence are always happy and doing activities together. It often feels like a dormitory of teenagers with all the activities and the laughter that goes on at all hours of the day or night. I’m also impressed with the activities that are offered and my mom has enjoyed participating in new things. It has been a wonderful place for her.

I have been super impressed with Independence Village My mom has been cared for by the most compassionate and kind people The staff at Independence Village and Corso Care are attentive, responsible and professional. The newly redone rooms a beautiful, th common areas are clean and very cozy. The activities calendar is full and most times I see residents out and about enjoying each others company and the facilities. The food was super good when we toured a few times. Breakfast and lunch seem to hit the mark but dinner is more of sandwiches and is my moms least enjoyable meal. If issues arise, the management team is very responsive. My only complaint is that it is super hot in my mom’s room but apparently the older units are being replaced. This is a hard transition from ones personal home to a community style living situation but I would feel confident that Independence Village will be a partner in the transition.

I would give the facility a 5 on each category! Absolutely no issues, wonderful staff and a great place for Dad. What we like the most about the community is that the facility is so clean and the food is excellent. The staff really goes out of their way to be kind and friendly.

Our company (A Clean Start) expanded up to Traverse City in September 2024. Independent Village TC was one of our first clients that we started to work with. The staff here is second to none. The facility is very clean. The residents all seem to be very happy. We look forward to getting to know more staff members and residents as time goes on. Keep up the great work IV TC.

The facilities are very nice. The staff is friendly and caring. The onsite physical therapy is great. The staff works hard to provide a variety of activities, outings, and social events.

StoryPoint and Independence Village are cutting edge and above and beyond all other senior living communites as they specifically and successfully address the needs of aging adults such that they 'age in place' and thus maintain their independence well beyond their capabilities on their own. This IS the model for the future. Sadly, not enough organizations are doing this but THANK YOU for offering this level of care and opportunity to our aging parents, families, and eventually ourselves!

I really enjoy how friendly everyone here is and how they try to include new people. There are so many activities that it is hard to get moved in. I also am so that they allow you to have your pets with you.

Wow, what a beautiful community! Staff are loving and caring, food is hot and delicious and the activity calendar is full! I always look forward to visiting this community!!

My husband loves Independence Village. Very clean, exceptional staff, good food.

Everyone is very friendly! They are like family. My dad has the studio and its perfect size. Very accessible. Laundry is very accessible, central dining room isn't too far away. I would absolutely recommend IV of Traverse City to others looking.

Mom needed more help and Independence Village hit all of the three nags that were important to our family.Great staff was what put it over the top for us!Thanks to your service we were able to find this quickly

I am very grateful I am here, grateful for the food and extra snacks. very happy with the service I have gotten maint is always willing to help when there are problems. Everyone is friendly here. Bus service is excellent large variety of activities. Food, shopping and outings.
