at StoryPoint Urbandale (Glen Oaks)

We have been extremely pleased with the staff and community at Glen Oaks. They have been very accommodating to our family when we had to move my Dad abruptly. Our first tour of the facility was impressive. The residents seemed very content and well taken care of. The staff was very nice and attentive. I really appreciate being able to reach someone at the nurses station 24 hrs -to get a full report on how things are going. It’s wonderful having that piece of mind.

Urbandale provides a secure and socially active environment for those diagnosed with cognition impairment. The community is built in a user-friendly square so individuals with purposeful walking will not get "lost". The halls are wider than normal to accommodate furniture throughout the Community to allow people walking to safely rest as needed. Activities are engaging and accommodate all levels of ability.

Urbandale was my home away from home. My mom, who was diagnosed with early onset dementia, lived there for 3 years. The staff are exceptional and care very deeply about every resident. They communicated amazingly, gave me their time without making appointments, and would always get me involved in coming up with interventions to make it a safe environment for her. I want to thank the staff for supporting my family and loving my mom like she was one of their own.
