My friend has been a resident at this community for over 1 year in their memory care unit. I have been moved to tears by the caring nature of the staff. They always go above and beyond and have helped us in so many ways. We understand why this facility has families waiting for an opening, they are worth it! We highly recommend!

Friendly and genuinely caring staff! Residents enjoy constant activities and receive lots of kind and personal attention. I drop by at all hours and always feel welcome and always find a well kept environment with smiling residents who seem to really enjoy each other. My mom loves the food. My expectations have been exceeded and I feel like this residence is a hidden gem! Truly exceptional staff. Every one of them. My mom is in the best place!

We frequently visit a family friend who resides in this facility in their memory care unit. We have always been so impressed with care she receives. The staff are wonderful. Everyone is doing their best to provide a wonderful experience. I highly recommend.

From the first day till her last while my Mom had been in the assisted facility it was a satisfaction knowing how well she was taken care of. The staff and the other residents went beyond to help her when she needed it. I was always informed when something had happen or was going wrong. The home gave our family a feeling of relief to know that she was getting the best care. Whenever someone is looking or asking about an Assisted Living I mention Valparaiso Senior Living highly. Thank you for all you did and are still doing for the residents that stay there.

I have interacted with multiple companies across Northwest Indiana in finding homes for my (first) father-in-law, (second) mother-in-law, and now mother. Valpraiso Senior Living has brighter/more attractive decorating than many. Most others are simply dark or subdued. VSL activity people also seem to engage with the memory care residences more rather than treat them as an afterthought when planning time with assisted living events. The nurses/staff in memory care communicate well with me so I know what is going on with my mother at any time.

My mother recently passed after 2.5 years in the memory care unit. Overall, the actual caregivers were fine…helpful and gracious, did their best. However, I felt that communication with the administration was poor. Towards the end of her stay, hospice was involved at my request. Information that I believe should have come from admins at the facility was channeled through hospice, with no follow through by admins. Recommendations for changes in her care, including for a personal assistant, were made to me but when I brought this up with administrative nurse, she did not follow through with any additional info. After mom died, there were issues to be addressed by building admin and several phone calls went unanswered. It was impossible to follow through with corporate because the phone number they list doesn’t work and they only responded with an automated return message when I texted them online. My numerical rankings are affected by disparity between caregivers & administration.

My parents have been at Valparaiso senior village for a few months now and they absolutely love it! The staff is always very helpful! They love the food! And Sue is a heaven sent!

We would recommend to others and have already done so. We picked this community because it was good and they accepted Medicaid. Only Disappointment is with the Rx system in place.Very difficult to make the many prescription changes weekly & monthly as needed for Parkinson's with two additional people / offices in between the Dr and patient.

When you first enter you will find the staff welcoming and the residents engaging in activities and conversation. Not only is the building beautiful but the environment feels like home. The dining is excellent and the care genuine. You will not be disappointed if you or a loved one becomes a member of this community.

They are a great staff and always go to their best efforts to make everyone satisfied! The chef, staff and all of the residents welcome our people, there! An excellent environment!

I have the opportunity to spend time at VSV several times a month and there are always fun activities and events for the residents, the food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. The residents are always happy and bragging about their new home.

The staff members were all very welcoming and supportive of my mother's move following her hospitalization. We are thankful for their kindness and patience as she gets to know everyone.

This is a beautiful facility with caring staff. My mother was one of the first residents when it reopened in November 2021. It was an excellent experience for us that helped get us through a tough time. When Mom passed away in 2022, even the dining room staff came and visited with her during her last days.

New owners & management. 4 floors. Assisted living apartments on floors 2-4. whereas Memory Care apartments are on the first floor. Dining room and Bistro. Bright and cheery. Lots of windows. View garden courtyard of flowers and sitting areas outside. Pergola sitting area just outside the front entrance. They have an employee at the Welcome desk qjen you arrive the front entrance. There is a huge inside sun porch off the front entrance too. You definitely will enjoy this place. My dad resided her for two years 2018-2020. He lived this place. Oh the apartments are large and roomy. Keep in mind you won't need a lot of furniture. Keep it simple and cozy to keep your apartment orderly & tidy.
