at Valparaiso Senior Village

This center is by far the most loving and peaceful environment you could ever ask for your family. My grandmother feels so loved and cared for with the thoughtful staff. We just celebrated her birthday and the staff worked hard to make her day so fun for her and welcomed all of her family to come and celebrate too. She spends her days with carefully curated meals with a coffee bar, and daily activities - the salon experience being one of her favorites. The staff is so kind and friendly, and work to make my grandmother feel comfortable and safe, while giving her autonomy of her time. My grandma was nervous to leave her home that she had for 60 years where she raised her children and had all the memories of her beloved husband. The transition was intimidating but with the comfort of the center and support of the staff - she hasn’t been this happy in years. We are all thrilled that we have her in the best possible care.

I have interacted with multiple companies across Northwest Indiana in finding homes for my (first) father-in-law, (second) mother-in-law, and now mother. Valpraiso Senior Living has brighter/more attractive decorating than many. Most others are simply dark or subdued. VSL activity people also seem to engage with the memory care residences more rather than treat them as an afterthought when planning time with assisted living events. The nurses/staff in memory care communicate well with me so I know what is going on with my mother at any time.
