This past weekend Julie was walking the halls passing out treats to the residents! I was dropping off a package and she stopped what she was doing and helped me she held the door open! Then she was walking outside with 6 residents enjoying the sunshine!! They were all laughing and enjoying there walk!! It's amazing to see all the smiles on everyone faces when I deliver packages to your community way to go Julie! Thank you for your help!! Your kindness really shows

The tour was perfect. I received all the information I needed and all my questions were completely answered. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The community itself was gorgeous and the apartments are spacious.

Hello I was passing through yesterday visiting a family friend and one of your staff members locked eyes and said good morning and have a great day today! Julie was talking to a resident and asking him about his day he patted her on the back and said good work out kiddo and she smiled! You can tell she truly loves her job !! Great job Julie!!

I was walking through the common area yesterday and your staff member Julie . I Ilooked at her badge to see who she was and she was talking to a lady in a pink jacket and in a wheelchair the lady asked her how she likes working here Julie said she loves it! I’m an Amazon employee! You can tell she loves her job! I sure do ! I don’t even know her!

I was in visiting a friend yesterday and Julie in life enrichment was making the residents smile and laughing and encouraging them to participate in her activities! When I was leaving she was sitting down with the men around 1:30 she had them laughing! Keep this girl she is doing amazing job and I can tell she loves her job so very much! I have been completely satisfied with having my family member at Independence Village of White Lake. The staff, meals, care and personal attention that is provided is exceptional. The Executive Director Stephanie and the Nurse Director, Donna both go above and beyond to spend time with residents and make them a part of their family at the Village. It is a relief to have a family member staying there and knowing I can relax and get some rest while knowing they are safe and cared for. The activities are abundant and appropriate for the physical and mental health of the residents. Dave who drives the Independent Village van provides a variety of options to safely transport residents for optional groceries and other personal needs. He is also known to provide assistance in other areas including escorting seniors on walks around the grounds that are beautifully kept with a variety of flowers. The other day I walked by the front entrance and saw the Executive Director, Stephanie taking time to provide gardening where the residents have a sitting area to enjoy the weather and meet new friends. The staff are friendly, kind, and competent. The facility is clean and tastefully decorated. The food is delicious. I looked at 5 others, this one was by far the best facility. Reasonably priced too - good value.

At 93 years old moving into IV was an easy transition for me. I feel safe here. The staff is amazing. They are always available to help me with questions I have. It feels like home.

The food is top notch. They keep the place very clean. My mom lives in a 638 sq. ft. one bedroom apt. which is sufficient for her. It has a small kitchen, with a small refrigerator & a sink, a nice sized bedroom, a bathroom & good sized living room. All utilities, accept phone & cable, are included. Pricing may vary if you have a carport or balcony. There's tons of fun & fitness activities to take part in. Independence Village of White Lake really does care for your loved one at least they have for my mom.

Our family was no longer able to manage care for out father at home. We feel like our beloved dad received the utmost of trusted care possible at Independence Village. It brought is comfort to know he was being attentively cared for with compassion, dignity, and respect. We are exceedingly thankful for the staff at Independence Village for their compassionate care!

Thankfully we did not have to put my father in law in assisted living, but after speaking with [name removed], several times, I was very comfortable if things would have turned out differently. [name removed] was knowledgeable, caring, and very professional. She has reached out to me several times, just to check in to see if I needed anything or if my situation has changed. She is truly a kind heart. I wasn't able to tour the facility, but I have friends that have their loved ones there and they are thrilled with the accommodations.

I cannot emphasize enough the tremendous care and support provided to my mother by this facility. Mom, unfortunately, was in residence for only a handful of months. She had insisted she be cared for in her house (fearful of "those places") until it got to the point we didn't consider that safe/sufficient. Once moved in, mom herself started referring to her apartment as "home" and stated she loved being there. The staff, from administration to wellness to custodians, to a person, where kind, attentive and caring. One example amongst many… my son and significant other purchased her a plant… robust and needing little care beyond watering. During an extended absence (hospital stay and rehab) the room was cleaned… expected… and some gracious soul watered the plant (even updating the sticky note with the date) for her. Again… I cannot emphasize enough how grateful we are to Independence Village of White Lake. Thank you eternally…
