KNOWING THE RISKS

Why Fall Detection Matters

Falls are among the leading causes of injury for older adults — and for those living with memory loss, the risks are even greater. Many falls happen when no one is there to help, often leading to unnecessary hospital visits, loss of confidence, and reduced independence. SafelyYou technology and 24/7 support help communities respond faster, reduce injuries, and provide families with peace of mind.

Why Residents And Their Families Love White Lake

The moment I walked in I was greeted with smiling faces. Everything was clean and the dining room and décor were beautiful and elegant. Staff looked happy as well as everyone who lived there. The further I walked the more I realized the place is special.

This is a review of our tour experience; we are not as yet residents/ family of residents. That said, our tour experience moved White Lake Assisted Living to the top of our list. Carol was exceedingly personable and generous with her time and touring and information. At no time did we feel pushed or as if we were “being sold to.” The employees smiled easily and looked busy yet relaxed in their manner. Rooms were nicely maintained and environment was clean, warm and pleasant. We especially appreciated the large activities room, which was obviously well and thoughtfully used, decorated for the season, and clearly much more than a few tables and chairs for bingo - a real community space for fun and interaction. As we toured as family members without our “senior” potential resident, we were warmly invited back for a second visit with mom during midday so she could “get a feel for the people and the place” and see if it felt like a fit. Hoping she likes it as much as we did!

I was very impressed with the friendly staff that greeted me at the door. The community was very clean. Resident were playing bingo and seemed to be having a great time. I would absolutely bring my parents here.

White Lake has been a wonderful choice for my dad. The staff is caring and professional. They’ve made a difficult transition much easier. The facility is clean and welcoming. Their care team is especially attentive, and there are plenty of fun engaging activities for residents. We’re grateful for the peace of mind they provide and highly recommend them.

I can't say enough good things about White Lake Assisted Living. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth, compassion, and professionalism. The staff goes above and beyond to make residents feel at home, and it's clear that they truly care about every individual. The facility is always clean, beautifully maintained, and filled with a sense of peace and comfort. The activities are thoughtful and engaging, the meals are delicious, and the entire environment promotes dignity, safety, and joy. Knowing our loved one is in such capable, loving hands gives our whole family peace of mind. White Lake has become more than just a care facility — it's a true community. We are so grateful!

I am not confident assessing the care [name removed] got because he was in such bad shape, as were other residents in the memory unit. I do believe your facility did the very best possible, but for me and probably other residents' family members the whole situation is really sad and extremely difficult. There are no answers for how to make things better. One tangible negative is with the security at the entrances. Having to wait to be let in while being highly stressed out was super frustrating. But I realize the importance of security, and I appreciate and understand that resident care takes priority over "manning the door(s)". So with that I think everyone did the best possible.

I live 1 1/2 hours away and had to follow up during each visit. Not much encouragement to get out and socialize. Basically my Mom just sat and watched tv/slept. I got the " understaffed", which I did notice, but for [fee removed] a month I expected more. My Mom was at the end of the hall and I felt like she got the short straw a lot of the time. I did address this w/ [name removed] and it improved for awhile but not consistent. The staff was very enjoyable. and pleasant. I see them associate with the "guests" which is nice. The food seemed "cheap" but I know Seniors are fussy and cold fish sticks are fun. I didn't see fresh salads w/greens...maybe a different food truck each week could be encouraging. The activities seemed boring. Maybe more music entertainment? Local no schools or church singers? It is too expensive The facility is pleasing to the eye but most patrons aren't capable to walk from one side to the other to see a movie or get an ice cream cone. I enjoyed the staff there, very friendly and willing to help when asked. Over all I wanted a nice, clean environment for my Mom to stay where she was safe. Real good security in the building. I did feel she was being looked after adequately...we always want more for our loved ones.As for recommending- I certainly would. Stay involved, check up and follow up, like at home. My concerns were always addressed with courtesy. Living a good distance away I felt confident my Mom was being cared for.
