With the help of the Vandalia Senior Center, StoryPoint was able to sponsor a special presentation on consumer protection, highlighting on common scams that target older people.
The guest speaker and presenter was Ryan Lippe from the Ohio Attorney General’s office.
Attendee’s of the event were able to have a Q&A session with Mr. Ryan Lippe, along with takeaways that provided quick-tips on scams that are targeting the state of Ohio.
Mr. Lippe discussed the importance of consumer protection. While he and many others work to enforce consumer protection laws, there are still everyday dangers to be aware of. By educating seniors on common scams, and working to stop the offenders, Mr. Lippe hopes that the success of these scams can be wiped out.
