Every year, Honor Flight Tri-State honors veterans by flying them to Washington, D.C. to experience the monuments, memorials and a day of celebration in their honor.
And for the veterans who can’t make the journey? StoryPoint Fairfield partnered with the organization to host a “Flightless Honor Flight” celebration.
At the Flightless Honor Flight event, veterans “checked-in” at the community and participated in a flight simulation. The flight was complete with boarding passes and flight attendants to mimic the actual journey.
For one resident, Ben, this event was the first time his service was ever recognized.
