Update: A Letter To Our Residents Families

April 6, 2020

Dear Residents and Families,

All of our communities are working in partnership with local health officials to follow executive orders from each state regarding ‘Shelter-in-Place’ protocols. This also includes adhering to measures provided by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) around preventing the contraction of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and/or the spread of the virus to others.

These measures can be found by visiting CDC.gov/coronavirus or by viewing the additional documents accompanying this letter. With ever-changing information around COVID-19, it is crucial for our families and residents to abide by the enhanced measures enacted at each community. This means:

  • Residents are advised to not leave the community grounds for groceries and/or errands. We have staff readily available to assist each resident if there is something needed outside of the community.
  • With warmer weather ahead, our residents will prefer to spend more time outdoors. Please be mindful of our “no visitors” protocol, which continues to be place. Only essential visitors are currently allowed at this time.
  • If any family members received key-fob access to the community at one point, we ask that you refrain from using the fob in accordance to our “no visitors” protocol.

With new information provided by health officials, we are continually learning new information about COVID-19, specifically, how the virus can spread from person to person. As we have mentioned many times before, we are acting in an abundance of caution at this time and executing all precautionary measures to protect the well-being of our residents and employees.

We have technology in place for you to connect with your loved ones while keeping our communities safe. Please call your community if you’d like to learn how to set up a virtual face chat with your loved one through our community iPads.

We will continuously provide updates as new information is made available. If you have any questions about our safety protocols, don’t hesitate to contact the executive director of your community. We appreciate your continuous understanding and support during these unprecedented times as we work together to keep our employees and residents safe and healthy.

Sincerely,

Andrew Dorr
